The My Home, Your Home, Our Homes (MYO Homes) Project grew out of a commitment of the Housing Older Women’s Movement to ensure that women have access to a home that is affordable, secure, amenable, and supportive us to age in our home, neighbourhood, and communities.
The MYO Homes Project also aims to give women a voice and agency in designing our homes.
The series of seminars, workshops, forums, and networking events is bringing together community members, sector professionals, and interests across public, private, and community housing and finance-related sectors. We have invited Zola Rose (CEO of Common Ground New Zealand), who brings international experience and expertise to facilitate these events across SEQ.
The Project is supported by funding from the state government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund, SANDBAG Inc. City of Gold Coast, Brisbane City Council and HAAG and individual donors. You can donate to suppport the project here
Women catalysing affordable housing and neighbourhood models- Zola Rose Podcast
